All boundaries were removed, new sections built, all in an attempt to best possibly function as a guesthouse and create a cohesive unit. It is situated in the CBD placing it conveniently close to all amenities and shops. The guesthouse has been in existence for 37 years and is well known in town and far afield alike. It has housed a restaurant in the 90’s. There has been a function venue, an art gallery, coffee shop and life style shop. We have seen weddings, birthdays, all sorts of parties and regular monthly meetings amongst other things.
Guests have loved staying here because of the tranquility whilst at the same time being close to all amenities. I can mention here that Addo Elephant Park is 77km’s from here, Port Elizabeth airport a mere 40km’s and Jeffereys Bay 69km’s. With three large trees creating ample shade for guests cars and also being home to many small birds. An added bonus is that two provide 100’s of fresh avocados yearly. There is ample safe parking available, a few being under roof. There is now only one entrance comprising of an extra width gate for vehicles and directly next to it a small gate. With extra high walls and other safety measures we have never had any problems. We can proudly say that this is a safe and tranquil place and we have had some guests coming here for the past 20 years. People have returned many times over with safety top on the positive list and a sense of family and belonging.
Currently it is being run as a guesthouse but future planning was done giving ample opportunity for future ventures such as an old age home, student accommodation, complex living and many other. The municipal services that were allocated to the specific erven have been kept intact so that they can function independently to provide constant uninterrupted services.
